Spring Collection 2025/26: New Plays from Centre 42 opens with Pen Pals International 2025, a showcase featuring play excerpts from writers in the UK and Singapore developed over a six-month online exchange programme. It continues with the end-of-residency presentations from our Playwright’s Professional Development Residency (2024–2026), a culmination of two years of artistic exploration that has produced four strikingly original plays: women across time and space rehearse the question of what it means to belong to themselves; an ensemble of Malay Muslim women confronts the starkest taboos of their bodies with grace and humour; a political family uncovers the legacy of violence lurking in their blood; and a young mother turns to camgirling to remember what it feels like to be wanted.

The programme concludes with a process sharing of Territori by our 2025/26 Writer-in-Residence Nabilah Said, a play she’s further developed over the past year.
