What happens when a monster appears on the streets of Singapore? Will people panic? Will people run away? Will people stand together and fight the monster?
FRANK is a modern-day parable dissecting how we relate to, treat, and even demonise the Other in our society. Putting a Singaporean spin on a classic Gothic horror tale, FRANK employs an ensemble approach to discuss these ever pertinent interpersonal issues within our increasingly diverse homeland.
Frank was written as part of NUS' University Scholars' Programme (now NUS College) Productions, and staged at the Drama Centre Black Box in October 2017. Rewrites have been done in the intervening years.
