It all started behind the curtains, being a stage assistant for Noor Effendy Ibrahim's Bilik Ahmad. From there, Raimi took a leap into acting, embracing diverse roles across theatre, TV, and film, catering to both English and Malay audiences.
Raimi had the privilege of starring in Tan Bee Thiam's short film, Kopi Julia, paying homage to Singapore's Malay horror cinema of the 50s.
Driven by curiosity, he delved into the realm of playwriting, resulting in his maiden full-length piece, LOCKDOWN, guided by the wisdom of Aidli Mosbit. His recent works include his second full-length endeavor, Rindu di Bulan, showcased at the esteemed M1 Fringe Festival in 2022, and Oo-woo, presented under The Necessary Stage banner.
Each step of this journey has been a lesson in humility and growth.
