Synopsis

The year is 1400. Father and Mother lead a contented life in Long Ya Men (old name for Singapore) despite facing countless raids by the much-feared pirates. One day, they decide to put a stop to this problem by seeking the help of the magnanimous but utterly vain Banana Tree Spirit. The Spirit gives them a magic pouch to capture the pirates.

Soon, the pirates reappear. Mother casts the magic pouch and the pirates are captured. Excited, the couple takes the pouch to the Village Head. Unbeknownst to all, the Village Head is the instigator of the pirate attacks. Just as Mother is about to hand over the pouch to him, he attacks her and she swallows the pouch in the process. That night, Mother gives birth to ten boys.

Overnight, the ten brothers grow up. The 1st has binocular vision, the 2nd has sharp hearing, the 3rd has immense strength, the 4th has thick skin, the 5th is able to fly, the 6th possesses a head of steel, the 7th has extraordinary height, the 8th is able to drill a hole in the ground, the 9th has a huge mouth and an equally huge appetite and the 10th can conjure a thunderstorm with his tears. The ten brothers set out to do good and rid the village of the much feared swordfishes. However, their deed angers the Swordfish Demon who enlists the help of the Village Head to seek revenge on the ten brothers.

Empowered by the Swordfish Demon, the Village Head casts a spell on the Banana Tree Spirit and uses her to wreck havoc between the brothers. He then attacks the parents and tries to poison them. Mother swallows the poison in her bid to protect the ten brothers.

With Mother's death, the brothers realize they have to unite in order to defeat the Village Head and cure the Banana Tree Spirit. And yes, as all heart-warming fairytales go, the good conquers evil but not without first putting up a wildly funny, nail-biting action packed fight!
