MEREKA

Synopsis

A man and a woman find themselves in a cemetery, lost and trying to find their way. As they attempt to regain their bearings, they find themselves contemplating what it means to move on without leaving other things behind. Along the way, they meet a makcik with an unusual job - she is tasked to keep time and ensure the cemetery runs efficiently. In another time and place, another couple sit down and talk about their lives, leaving no stone unturned and without mincing words. The characters attempt to grasp at the straws of sanity even as they stand on rapidly shifting ground, dealing with questions of what people do, not do, and forsake for the sake of progress.
