You’ll know that sometimes remembering can be very lonely…
‘Unforgotten’ is a musical, a story, that resonates with every single one of us. We all have our memories. Those that stay with us are significant. Birthdays, our first loves, the elation in getting our driving licence or even winning at a competition… And then there are events that are so traumatic, we couldn’t forget them even if we tried.
‘Unforgotten’ is based on the novel, ‘Listening to Letter from America’ by Professor Kua Ee Heok. A psychiatrist, he writes about his experiences with his patients.
Get to know Mei, Seng Huat, Ali, Joe, Lim, and Rani through the eyes of their doctor, Dr Weng. You won’t know them now, but you will when you immerse yourself in ‘Unforgotten’. These seniors lived through World War II and the Japanese occupation in Singapore.
Journey with them in their memories, and discover how we are all similar in our needs for respect, dignity, and the need to be unforgotten.
